#5: Opened Heavens (a message by Pastor Percy Gutteridge)
Key Bible Passage: Ezekiel 1
God opens windows in Heaven to pour out blessing or judgment; He opens a door in Heaven to give some specially favored one a revelation of Himself and an unfolding of the future. These favored ones, like Ezekiel, Daniel, Paul, and John, were all prisoners on behalf of the Lord and His truth. But the record is given that we also might be favored with God’s great revelation of Himself, that we, too, might experience the blessing of Opened Heavens.

I just wanted to thank you for making these precious truths available. Recently, I fell from my understanding (Daniel 11:35) and, as a result, went through some rough times. It was much like what Evan Roberts went through towards the end of the Welsh Revival. Since then, my heart has not burnt with the Holy Ghost’s fire, nor my face shone like that of an angel!, for a few months. It has been much of a grief to me, but god is ever faithful!
Listening to these messages and precious truths, my heart has been refreshed, my faith stirred and hope renewed. Whilst reading one of Percy’s messages on the “double portion”, my heart was drawn out to this verse: “In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” (John 7:37-39)
I saw afresh that Jesus has been glorified, He has received the gift of the Spirit’s fullness, His blood has been sprinkled upon the mercy seat and “it is finished.” All I need to do is believe! Hallelujah! It is so simple a child can receive it! Praise the Lord!
Thanks for your comment. If Pastor Gutteridge’s messages are a blessing to you, that’s a blessing to us! Lord willing, 2012 will see at least twelve more Gutteridge audios, a few transcripted articles, and the book Faith Is Substance offered in e-book format. We also have enough material for a ten-chapter book on the Holy Spirit by Brother Gutteridge, if the Lord supplies the means for us to publish it.
