Finest of the Wheat Teaching Fellowship is a week away from the “grand opening” of our new blog and podcasting site, KernelsOfWheat.com. The artwork has arrived, the last pieces of audio equipment for our studio are en route, and the new website is shaping up. We’ve set a launch date of Wednesday, August 11 for our first weekly episode of Kernels of Wheat.
Meanwhile, our heartfelt thanks go out to the prayer partners, supporters, and donors who are helping to make this possible. And special thanks go to several people:
- Rick Lowry, for his counsel in purchasing the equipment for our podcast recording studio, and his patient help in getting it working just right;
- Daniel J. Lewis of D.Joseph Designs for his great work on the Kernels of Wheat banner (see the artwork at the top of the page!) and the matching “album art” (in this article) for the soon-to-launch, weekly Kernels of Wheat podcast files.
- The National Prayer Chapel’s Pastor Ray Greenley for two outstanding Electro-Voice RE-20 microphones.
Hi Jim,
I think your header and podcast artwork look absolutely fantastic. Nice color combination and clean layout. I’d like to have mine tweaked a bit and I’m curious as to who did yours. Can you make a recommendation?
Thanks,
Glen
Hey, Glen,
Thanks. We’re very happy with the new artwork! The fellow who did our album art and header is Daniel J. Lewis of the Noodle.mx podcast network. He’s part of the gspn community, and one of his podcasts is called The Audacity to Podcast, which focuses (though not exclusively) on employing the FOSS (Free Open-Source Software) package known as Audacity to get audio editing jobs done. Anyway, he has his own design company, D.Joseph Design. Besides that link, you can see more of his work at http://theaudacitytopodcast.com/podcast-cover-art-artwork-album-art/.
I hope this helps!
Jim
