My Interview on the “Stewardship Weekly” Podcast

Stewardship Weekly Podcast logoOne great thing about attending any school — you make friends and connections with fellow students, whatever the subject.  I graduated from Cliff Ravenscraft's Podcasting A to Z course last month.  A new friend, Brother Glen Steinson from Ontario, Canada, graduated from the May Podcasting A to Z course, and with both of us called to online ministry, the connection was made.  (By the way, Cliff, the host of PodcastAnswerMan.com, has just posted — free! — a two-hour overview of how to podcast.  Check out www.LearnHowToPodcast.com.  If you wind up signing up for his Podcasting A to Z course, tell him Glen and I sent you.)

I went through the entire backlog of Glen's Stewardship Weekly podcast, because I found that it's worthwhile.  A few episodes ago, he asked for folks to volunteer some financial testimonies.  Poor Glen!  Nobody else volunteered (at least to this point), so he was stuck with me when I offered to share.

Glen and I had a great time of fellowship this last Wednesday evening.  (I think we went on sharing for almost two and a half hours, though only about 45 minutes or so was actually recorded material.)  He warned me that he might choose a humorous episode name, so please don't stone me for idolatry when you read the title of Stewardship Weekly's Episode (“lucky”) 13 — Jim Kerwin Introduces Us to the God ‘E37.'

I pray that the episode will be a blessing to you and to Glen's listeners.  I encourage you to subscribe to Stewardship Weekly.  And if you have a testimony of God's faithfulness and leading in the realm of finances, please pray about contacting Glen.

Jim, Thanks so much for the mention here. It is so awesome to see two of my former Podcasting A to Z students networking like this. Keep up the great work!

      Cliff,
Thanks for “stopping by”! We learned a whole lot in your course — but there’s so much more to learn, and most of it comes from learning while doing, and by interacting with others who are doing it. Glen is certainly “doing it” on Stewardship Weekly, and has already shared a few tricks with me. Unbeknownst to him, he’s indirectly responsible for having me consider yet a third podcast, something to start around the first of next year.

    Jim,

It was great to have you on the show last week! I really enjoyed our time together on the telephone. If we were neighbours, I’m certain we’d be spending quite a bit of time together discussing Jesus Christ our Lord, podcasting techniques and the numbers that keep changing in the spreadsheet (column E, row 37)!

Take care dear friend. Stay in touch,
    Glen

(A 3rd podcast!? I’ll have to start calling you Cliff.)

      Glen,

Yes, the idea for the third podcast (something about which I’ll have to pray for a while) was inspired by the interview process itself. I know that Cliff covers the whole “mix-minus” setup in the training, but doing phone interviews for my main podcast wasn’t something I see myself doing. But the idea for another podcast came to me Saturday while I was resting, and it would be monthly interviews. It’s premature to say more.

I can report that one of my Florida listeners told me today that she listened to the Stewardship Weekly interview already.

I may not be your neighbor, but you can consider me part of your S.W. community!

      Jim
